Chatterbox is a dynamic piece that pops, sizzles, and grooves. Cast in three loose sections, the work’s themes feature slithering gestures, lyricism, and syncopation. The central section features jazzy solos from the tenor and baritone saxes. The final section is introduced by a raucous anthem, while the earlier themes return intertwined and close in jubilant triumph.
